Christians believe that when we die, God promises that we will be with him in a wonderful place where death and pain are gone forever. Whatever the circumstances of death, these words of hope are a great comfort to those who attend a funeral.
When someone dies, we believe that we are held in a love that is stronger than death, a love revealed when Jesus died and rose again to save us. This is the Christian hope, and is the heart of every funeral service we hold.
After your loved one has died, you will need to meet with a funeral director. They will be able to discuss what sort of funeral you would like and whether you would like the vicar to be involved. If you choose to have a service with our vicar, Fr Dominic, he will phone and arrange to meet you.
When you meet him, he will listen to the story of the person you knew and discuss the service with you. Although we use the Church in Wales funeral service, this gives a lot of flexibility and you will be able to include readings, poems or music that are personal to you.
You can find the vicar’s contact details here.
